The March Hare is a local pub in the heart of Chelsea’s King’s Road that offers the very best of modern British hospitality, food, and drink. Warm, welcoming, and delightfully familiar, it makes an excellent backdrop for any event. Just let us know what you have in mind and we’d be happy to help.
We have flexible options and packages, offer full or partial venue hire, and have our private basement bar (The Jabberwocky) that’s ideal for groups of 20-45 people.

Our Private Hire Spaces
Whole Venue (two floors)
160 people+
The whole venue incorporates the ground floor with space for up to 120, and the Jabberwocky downstairs (our private room with capacity for up to 45).
The main bar and ground floor is split into several areas with banquet seating, low tables and a large, well-equipped bar including draught on tap.
We have multiple TV screens, and an AV set up that most DJs and musicians can plug into. In fine weather, the whole front of the venue on one side can open up with bifold doors.
There are toilets downstairs along with our private room… The Jabberwocky.
The Jabberwocky
(Basement Bar)
25-45 people
Our basement bar, the Jabberwocky is perfectly suited to smaller, more intimate gatherings of up to 45 people. It can be hired on it’s own or as part of a whole venue hire.
With its own private bar, low lighting, Chesterfield armchair seating around the sides and two quirky little snug alcoves – it’s a lovely space for 20-40 people to celebrate.
The Jabberwocky benefits from its own music system and TV screen, allowing you to set the atmosphere and display any personal messages or photo slide shows you might want.
